Today, Monday, Deputy Prime Minister for Energy Affairs and Oil Minister Hayan Abdel-Ghani instructed to resolve the joint files with the Ministry of Electricity.
A statement by the ministry stated that "Deputy Prime Minister for Energy Affairs and Minister of Oil Hayan Abdul-Ghani chaired the leadership meeting for operations, with the Undersecretary for Liquidation and Distribution Affairs, the general managers of the companies and departments concerned, the representative of the Ministry of Electricity and the director of the media office."
During the meeting, he stressed, "The Ministry's keenness on the importance of joint work and coordination with the Ministry of Electricity to meet its needs of fuel of all kinds to serve the public interest." .
And he stressed "activating and revitalizing the joint committee between the two ministries for daily communication, to address the necessary needs and emergency cases," expressing his hope that "the Ministry of Finance will address and resolve the debt file of the Ministry of Oil on the Ministry of Electricity, amounting to more than 23 trillion dinars, which caused a deficit." money for some oil companies.
And he stressed the need to “accelerate the implementation of the first phase of the campaign to distribute white oil in Baghdad and the provinces, and to complete the distribution of the prescribed quota among citizens according to the fuel card,” directing “to cover the needs of the displaced from white oil in and outside the camps, especially in Nineveh, Erbil, Dohuk, in coordination with the Ministry of Migration and Displacement and other concerned parties.
He emphasized "field work and daily follow-up of work sites, in order to identify the basic and necessary needs of citizens, in a way that improves professional performance," noting "continued monitoring and follow-up by the Oil Products Distribution Company for illegal trading in petroleum products, in coordination with the security authorities, and work to reduce it.”
