    On Monday, the Prime Minister of the Kurdistan Regional Government, Masrour Barzani, supervised the preparatory meeting to start the work of the Commission for Accreditation of Institutions and Curricula of Education and Higher Education in the Kurdistan Region in light of Law No. (6) of 2022, which entered into force on 4/8/2022.[/size]
    [size=45]During the meeting, the Prime Minister stressed the importance of this body, which mainly aims to establish a set of international standards adopted in education, educational programs and higher education in the Kurdistan Region, and work to reduce the difference in the level of scientific quality in educational centers and universities affiliated with the public and private sectors to ensure raising the educational level. And education in the institutions of education and higher education in the Kurdistan Region, in addition to setting appropriate standards to lay the foundations for accreditation, by organizing a review and oversight process and supporting the Ministries of Education, Higher Education and Scientific Research, to advance human capacities and potentials and obtain accreditation certificates for universities and schools.[/size]
    [size=45]The Ministers of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Education, and the Cabinet Secretary also presented their vision and views on the mechanisms for implementing the law, with reference to the current capabilities of the two ministries and other institutions, and ways to take advantage of opportunities to improve the reality of programs and capabilities in order to achieve the goals of the law.[/size]
    [size=45]The meeting also dealt with the preparatory procedures and steps for starting the work of this body and preparing its internal system, with the aim of discussing and approving it at the cabinet meeting.[/size]
