    Parliament Speaker Muhammad al-Halbousi affirmed, on Friday, work to enact the necessary legislation to combat corruption.


    Al-Halbousi said, in a tweet to him on the "Twitter" platform: "On the occasion of the International Anti-Corruption Day, we affirm our support for the efforts of the government and oversight institutions that work to limit the influence of corruption and the corrupt."

    He added, "We are working from the position of responsibility of the legislative and oversight authority to enact the necessary legislation that contributes to combating corruption."
