    On Saturday, Prime Minister Muhammad Shia’a al-Sudani directed the suspension of collecting the sum of 30,000 dinars resulting from the “shake-down” durability test, provided that there is no financial or legal impact on the state.

    Major General Yiji Rasool, spokesman for the Commander-in-Chief, Major General, stated in a statement followed by “NAS” (January 14, 2023), that “the Prime Minister directed a study of the implementation of the termination of the contract of the company contracting with the Police Martyrs Fund in the Traffic Directorate, from which an amount of (35) thousand dinars is deducted. In favor of a company when completing transactions.  
      
    He added, "The Prime Minister directed a study of transferring fees and imports of roads and bridges stipulated in Presidency Resolution No. (40) of 2015, which the Traffic Directorate deducts when registering vehicles or transferring their ownership to the Ministry of Construction, Housing and Municipalities and the Municipality of Baghdad in coordination with the Ministry of Finance in order to immediately start rehabilitating Roads and bridges and the development of some alternative ways to reduce traffic congestion, provided that there is no financial or legal impact on the state.  
      
    And he continued, "The Prime Minister also directed a study of terminating (a contract or waiting) by conducting a (shake-up) examination at the present time and stopping the collection of the amount (30) thousand dinars, provided that there is no financial or legal impact on the state."  
      
    He pointed out that "Al-Sudani directed a study of terminating the contract of the contracting company with the Ministry of the Interior, regarding (market license applicants, examination and testing procedures). The Traffic Directorate can provide staff and supplies from its resources to conduct examination and testing instead of collecting an amount of 30,000 dinars from the citizen."  
      
    And he concluded, "The Prime Minister directed a study of the Traffic Directorate's tightening of procedures on the specified weight stations for carrying vehicles, as they affect the internal and external roads."
