    Baghdad today - Baghdad,

    the Speaker of the Jordanian Parliament, Ahmed Al-Safadi, announced today, Tuesday, that the Iraqi capital, Baghdad, will host the 34th conference of the Arab Parliamentary Union, which will be held next Thursday and will last for 3 days.

    Al-Safadi said, in press statements followed by (Baghdad Today), that Iraq is the main pillar of stability in the region and that relations between the two countries are at their highest levels, calling on the heads of Arab parliaments to participate in the conference of Arab parliaments that will be held in Baghdad after a few days.

    Al-Safadi said: We in Jordan, under the leadership of King Abdullah II, view Iraq as a fundamental pillar of security and stability in the region, and we support all efforts aimed at restoring Iraq to its natural, pioneering, influential and active role in the region, indicating that King Abdullah II, through the (Baghdad Conference for Cooperation and Partnership) that was held in Jordan recently; He cabled a clear message to the effect that Iraq has a pivotal and major role in the region and that its security, stability and prosperity are an essential pillar for the stability of the entire region.

    He added that the Jordanian-Iraqi relations are rooted and historical, and the common issues linking the two brotherly countries necessitate advancing bilateral and tripartite economic integration projects with the brothers in Egypt, stressing that "relations between the parliamentarians of both countries are at their highest levels, and coordination and cooperation are continuing with the Iraqi parliament in Various parliamentary issues that concern the interests of the two brotherly countries and our Arab and Islamic nation.

    Regarding the conference of Arab parliaments scheduled to be held within days, Al-Safadi stated that we are concerned with the size of a wide participation by the heads of Arab parliaments in the conference of the Arab Parliamentary Union to be held in Baghdad within days, calling on the heads of Arab parliaments to come to Baghdad and say with one voice that we are with Iraq and its great people and we support all Their efforts to enhance their security, stability and political path, for Iraq is the best of our nation and did not stingy on it in the darkest circumstances, and we are confident in the will of the Iraqis and their solid determination to achieve their aspirations for further progress and prosperity.

    The Speaker of the Jordanian Parliament concluded his speech by saying: "The great country of Mesopotamia is proving day after day that it is able to rise, and today it is taking confident steps towards rooting its democratic experience, and everyone in Jordan stands at the same distance from the various Iraqi components," noting that "the two countries are linked by history Present, future, destiny and one issue that requires everyone to build on what unites us and overcome what divides us. The voice of wisdom, convergence and brotherhood is the way towards achieving the interest of the two brotherly peoples.
