    [rtl]Baghdad-Iraq today:

The Parliamentary Communications Committee revealed accumulated financial debts amounting to one billion dollars owed by the “Korek Telecom” communications company, while it was surprised that the company had obtained a “loyalty order” from the Erbil Court that allows it to carry out its work, despite the ruling issued. For the Federal Investigation Court not to renew the company's license.[/rtl]

[rtl]Committee member Aqil Al-Fatlawi said in a press interview, “The parliamentary move towards paying the debts incurred by the communication companies (Asiacell, Zain and Korek) continues by resorting to the Iraqi judiciary,” noting that “Korek owes sums of money to the Iraqi state by about one billion dollars.” It was distributed among the fees and taxes of the frequency spectrum, without the company paying it.[/rtl]
[rtl]He added, “The Media and Communications Authority stopped renewing the company's business license, based on the decision of the Federal Investigation Court,” noting that “the company (surprised us) by bringing a state order, after resorting to the Erbil court, to stop the media authority's decision, which was based on the decision of the Federal Investigation Court. Behind him are political influences and financial bribes.”[/rtl]
[rtl]Al-Fatlawi explained that, “Unfortunately, Korek resumed its work normally based on the decision of the Erbil court, and this is surprising,” calling for clarification that “the decision of the Erbil court had higher authority than the decision of the Federal Investigation Court.”[/rtl]
[rtl]Al-Fatlawi continued, “The procedures for annulment of the decision are valid by addressing the Commission of Integrity and the Public Prosecution, which in turn referred the file to the second Karkh Court.” Erbil.”[/rtl]
