Today, Monday, MEE revealed "Turkish efforts" to file a lawsuit against the Iraqi government with the aim of fining Baghdad half a billion dollars for oil export violations from the Kurdistan region of Iraq.
And the network indicated, according to what was translated (Baghdad Today), that "two official sources who refused to reveal their identities confirmed to it that Ankara is now seriously considering filing a lawsuit with the US courts to obtain a fine of $ 527 million from Baghdad for violating provisions in exporting the region's oil." ".
The network described the Turkish moves as an "attempt to rehabilitate and take revenge" on Baghdad, which last Monday filed a lawsuit with the US courts to force Ankara to pay the amount of one and a half billion dollars imposed on it by the International Court as a fine for exporting the region's oil without Baghdad's approval, which is a violation of the agreement. 1973.
It is noteworthy that Iraq's victory in the case brought before the US courts now will lead to a decision to seize the official Turkish property and bank accounts in the United States and hand them over to Baghdad's disposal, which Ankara is trying to avoid, according to the network's description.

The American "Offshore Alert" network revealed, last Tuesday, that an official request was submitted by the Iraqi Ministry of Oil to the US Federal Court to implement the ruling issued against Turkey, and force it to pay a fine estimated at one and a half billion US dollars.
In a report translated by (Baghdad Today), the network said, "The Iraqi authorities have begun implementing the judicial ruling that was issued against Ankara last month, which included a ruling imposing a fine as a result of exporting oil from the Kurdistan region of Iraq without Baghdad's approval."
And she stressed that "the official procedures now include a lawsuit from the Iraqi Ministry of Oil against the Turkish Ministry of Energy and Natural Resources in the US Federal Court with the aim of forcing Ankara to pay the fine," according to its description.
Earlier, Turkey asked Iraq to renegotiate the terms of financial payment for exporting oil from Iraqi Kurdistan through its ports, following the agreement between Baghdad and Erbil to re-pump oil from the region to the global market, according to Bloomberg Network last week.
