    Economy News - Baghdad
A spokesman for the Ministry of Electricity, Ahmed Musa, said that his ministry has transformed the competition between Siemens and General Electric to "serve the country," noting that the Iraqi experience with Siemens is "cheaper and more efficient" than the Egyptian one.
"We signed many contracts to diversify energy sources," Moussa added, in a televised interview, adding, "We chose two sites in Abu Ghraib and Nahrawan to establish energy production stations from waste recycling."
Moussa stated, "The phenomenon of power outages at the end and beginning of each month exists," noting that "the Minister of Electricity dealt with the phenomenon of power outages at the end and beginning of each month with many instructions."
