Babylon intends to put up a tourist resort for investment

The local government in Babylon announced the possibility of offering the tourist resort of Babylon to investment companies to match the development in the field of tourism.
The governor, Wissam Aslan Al-Jubouri, told Al-Sabah: “The Babylon tourist resort needs discreet international companies to invest in it, and we, in turn, will facilitate all procedures for investment companies, as we submitted a proposal to the federal government to develop a part of the ancient city’s resort, as the development will include an important part of it to suit the development taking place.” In the field of tourism, especially since the resort has become old, especially since thousands of tourists visit it daily from the Iraqi provinces and even from some Arab and foreign countries.
He added, "Some international investment companies offered the local government to invest part of the ancient city, especially since some of the resort's facilities are dilapidated and the restaurants lack many tourism ingredients to match what exists in the world."
He pointed out that "the local government is awaiting the decision of the prime minister to implement and develop the tourism resort of Babel."
