    Today, Sunday, the Parliamentary Finance Committee stressed the need for strict control over the implementation of the paragraphs of the budget law, after it entered into force.
    Committee member Jamal Cougar told (Baghdad Today) that "after the budget law enters into force, and the government works to disburse funds within the allocations in the law, the Parliamentary Finance Committee will work to follow up on these disbursements," stressing that "there will be strict control in this regard." .
    He added, "The Parliamentary Finance Committee will work according to its oversight authority in following up financial expenditures."
    He pointed out that "financial oversight will aim to prevent any waste of public money or suspicions, and there will be parliamentary support for the government to implement its program after the entry into force of the budget law."
    The House of Representatives had sent a copy of the budget to the Presidency of the Republic for approval within 15 days, and then published it in the Official Gazette to be effective.
    Earlier, Parliament approved the largest budget in the history of Iraq, with a value of about $153 billion per year, and the Kurdistan region will have an estimated rate of 12.6%, with a large financial deficit estimated at about $48 billion annually.
