    The Parliamentary Transportation Committee announced the latest details of the great port of Faw, considering that its cost will start at two billion dollars, and the completion rates are advanced with the percentages of the plans.
    The head of the committee, Zahra al-Bajari, told (Baghdad Today) that: "There is a delay in the navigational channel due to the lack of entry of the necessary materials."
    She explained, "The first berth will be completed within four months, and as for the other berths, there is a possibility to complete them as a first stage within 2025."
    And Al-Bajari added, "The overall completion rates at the port have reached 50%, and these percentages are good, but the port needs to implement the development path in order to link the FAO with some countries for the continuation of trade exchange."
    The Minister of Transport, Razzaq Muhibis, visited the Al-Faw port project in Basra Governorate on the 23rd of this month and confirmed, "The completion rates achieved in the projects of the large port of Al-Faw are witnessing a remarkable development that exceeded 60 percent for the five berths," noting that "the completion of the concrete wall of the berths of the port of Al-Faw and container yard.
    Muheibis stressed that "the Al-Faw port project enjoys great support from the Prime Minister, Mohamed Shia'a Al-Sudani, for the success of this great national project, which is considered an artery that is pumped into the development road project, which the government intends to start implementing."
