Today, Sunday, the Ministry of Commerce announced the start of the second phase of automating the electronic ration card, while indicating that the update mechanism is available seven days a week.
The assistant general manager of the General Company for Foodstuff Trade, Talib Abbas Hassan, said in a press statement that, "The company has embarked on the second phase of automating the electronic ration card, which includes updating citizens' data for the Baghdad governorate on its two sides, Karkh and Rusafa."
He added, "There is a strong demand by citizens to update the data," stressing that "the update mechanism is available seven days a week, from 8 am until late evening hours."
He pointed out, "The update process continues for the coming months," calling on "citizens to review the designated update centers and receive the electronic card from food agents."
He noted that "dedicated centers will be opened in the coming days to ensure the speedy completion of the data update transaction for citizens."
