Parliament finalizes the report on the first amendment to the former regime’s property seizure law

Today, Saturday (September 9, 2023), the House of Representatives completed the report and discussion of the draft law on the first amendment to the law on the seizure and confiscation of movable and immovable assets belonging to the pillars of the previous regime, No. (72) of 2017.
The Council's Media Department said in a statement, received by "Baghdad Today", that "the House of Representatives has completed the report and discussion of the draft law on the first amendment to the law on the seizure and confiscation of movable and immovable funds belonging to the pillars of the previous regime No. (72) of 2017."
She added: “The Council also completed the first reading of the draft law on protection from the harms of tobacco, and the report and discussion of the draft law on the first amendment to the Decorations and Medals Law No. (15) of 2012.”
