Today, Saturday, Deputy Director of the Prime Minister's Office, Ali Razouki Al-Lami, was briefed on the completion work of the Sinbad Road and Atomic Energy Projects, while confirming that the road is one of the most important projects for relieving traffic congestion as it connects a number of Baghdad areas.
Al-Lami told the Iraqi News Agency (INA), followed by Al-Aqsad News, that he “conducted a field tour to follow up on the latest work on the completion of the Sinbad Road project,” stressing that “this strategic road is one of the most important projects for relieving traffic congestion as it connects a number of areas of Baghdad.” Pointing out that "there is great momentum in the areas south of Baghdad with the presence of the Bismayah complex and the rest of the areas surrounding it, and this road represents the strategic solution to relieve traffic congestion."
He pointed out that he "arrived at the atomic energy route, met with the engineering department implementing the project, and followed the project completion stages."
He pointed out that "this road was closed for forty years under the pretext of the nuclear reactor, and today, under the guidance of the Prime Minister, this road has been reactivated," indicating that he "reviewed and supervised the timings in the presence of the relevant departments from the Karrada Municipality, Rusafa Electricity, Energy, and other concerned parties."
For his part, the director of projects in the Baghdad Municipality, Yaqzan Al-Waeli, told the Iraqi News Agency (INA), “The road is divided into two sections, the first from Al-Dora Bridge to the oil and electricity circuits in Al-Zafaraniya, and the second in Al-Rashid camp.”
Al-Waeli confirmed, “Within a month, the project will be completed to contribute to relieving traffic congestion.”
In turn, the director of the Karrada Municipality, Jassem Al-Rikabi, told the Iraqi News Agency (INA), “The most important challenges faced by the engineering staff are removing conflicts and removing violations represented by buildings built along the road’s path.”
Al-Rikabi noted, “The road has been closed for 40 years, and all conflicts have been resolved 100 percent, and this street will be opened at the beginning of November.”
