    [rtl]Baghdad - Iraq today:[/rtl]
[rtl]A parliamentary source revealed the reason for postponing the issue of creating the Halabja Governorate, indicating that there are demands from political parties to create the Tal Afar and Samarra governorates.[/rtl]
[rtl]The source, who preferred to remain anonymous, said in a press statement: “Political parties have demands to create Samarra Governorate and separate it administratively from Salah al-Din, and others want to create Tal Afar Governorate and separate it from Nineveh.”[/rtl]
[rtl] He added, “These demands were rejected by political parties in those two governorates,” noting that “talk about these demands remained within the political corridors and was not subject to in-depth discussions.” He explained, “Parliament decided to postpone the creation of Halabja Governorate so that there would be no justification for the parties that want to create the Samarra and Tal Afar governorates.”[/rtl]
