Electricity signs a strategic contract with two companies

Baghdad: Al-Sabah:
Yesterday, Wednesday, the Ministry of Electricity signed a strategic contract between Siemens and the Middle Euphrates Transport Company.
A statement from the ministry stated that “Minister of Electricity Ziad Ali Fadel sponsored the signing of a strategic contract within a principles agreement between the German company Siemens and the Middle Euphrates Transmission Company, to implement the first and second phase by establishing five ultra-high pressure transformer stations with a voltage of 400-123 kv, with a total capacity of 7500 MVA in the governorates.” (Baghdad, Basra, Holy Karbala, Al-Najaf Al-Ashraf, Diyala).”
He added, "The contract is the first of its kind, as six main power transformers will be installed at each station, with a capacity of 1,500 MVA, which will achieve the required reliability and stability in the electrical network."
