    General voting begins on Monday, December 18, as the electoral propaganda period that began on November 1, i.e. 45 days ago, has completely ended.

    With the entry into force of electoral silence, candidates and lists, as well as the media, are prohibited from educating about any candidate, in order to provide citizens and voters with the opportunity to think and make decisions about the candidates they will vote for, without influence in the last moments that could confuse voters’ choices.

    He stated that “there is what is called electoral silence and there is what is called media silence,” explaining that “electoral silence applies to candidates as they are prohibited from advertising, promoting, and distributing cards and posters, and it is monitored by the Election Commission in accordance with Law No. 31 of 2019 and No. 4 For the year 2023".

    He stated that “in the event of a violation, we face penalties that may reach imprisonment and high fines.”
