    [rtl]Iraqis’ interest in buying real estate in Turkey declined during last November, compared to October.

    The number of homes sold to foreigners in Turkey during last November reached 2,342 homes.

    According to the Turkish Statistical Institution, housing sales in Turkey in general (foreigners and citizens) recorded a decline of 20.6 percent in the month of November, compared to the same month last year, and amounted to 93,514 homes.

    Regarding sales to foreigners, they declined in November by 61.5 percent compared to the same month last year, and amounted to 2,342 homes.

    Russian citizens were at the forefront of foreigners who bought homes in Turkey last month, with 637 homes, followed by Iranians in second place with 234 homes, then Ukrainians with 128 homes, and then Kazakhstans in fourth place with 117 homes.

    The Saudis came in fifth place with 110 houses, then Germany came in sixth place with 106 houses, and after them the Iraqis came in seventh place with 90 houses.

    The Iraqi community in Turkey is the second largest Arab community after the Syrian community. According to previous statistics of the Iraqi Ministry of Immigration, there are more than 700,000 Iraqis residing in Turkey, and they are densely distributed in 12 out of 81 states in Turkey, which are, in order, Istanbul, Ankara, Samsun, Sakarya, Yalova , and Bursa. Eskişehir, Gaziantep, Alanya, Gorem, Bolu and Kutahya.

    According to data from the Turkish Statistics Authority, 2,535 homes were sold to foreigners during the month of October, with the share of housing sales to foreigners during the same month amounting to 2.7 percent of total sales.

    Antalya topped the list among Turkish states in the number of homes sold to foreigners with 931 homes, followed by Istanbul with 758 homes, then Mersin with 294 homes.

    In the ranking of foreign nationalities who bought the most houses in Turkey, the Russians topped the list with 713 houses, followed by the Iranians with 235 houses, then the Germans with 152 houses, then the Ukrainians came in fourth place with 138 houses, and the Iraqis came in fifth place with 134 houses.

    According to data from last October, compared to last September, the percentage of Iraqis buying homes in Turkey decreased, as in September it was 191 homes.

    In September, the Iraqis came in third place, after the Russians, with 722 houses, and then the Iranians came in second place, with 327 houses.

    Iraqis ranked fourth on the list of apartment buyers in Turkey during last April, according to the Turkish Statistics Authority, which stated in a statement that Turkey witnessed the sale of 2,557 apartments to foreigners during last April, and that the total house sales in the country amounted to 85,652. Residential apartment.
