    On Wednesday, the representative of the Coordination Framework, Yasser Al-Hassani, stressed the necessity of setting criteria for electing a new speaker of Parliament capable of achieving what the Iraqi people aspire to.

    Al-Husseini said in an interview with the Maalouma Agency, “The House of Representatives needs a personality capable of facing the challenges facing the country, working on legislating laws, and giving the representative ample space to exercise his oversight and legislative role.” 
    He added, "The position of presidency of the House of Representatives is a right for the Sunni component, and the coordinating framework supports any candidate if he obtains the approval of the majority of the Sunni parties." 
    He pointed out that "the priority for us is to choose the Speaker of the House of Representatives who will restore the legislative authority to its supervisory and legislative status and achieve what the Iraqi people aspire to." 
    Earlier, the spokesman for the parliamentary state of law, Aqeel Al-Fatlawi, confirmed to “Al-Ma’louma” that “the priority for political forces is to choose the Speaker of the House of Representatives.” Ended / 25 h
