    Baghdad Today - Baghdad
The head of the Integrity Commission, Haider Hanoun, announced today, Sunday (January 14, 2024), that the commission “will begin opening the file of money inflation and activating the (Where did you get this from) campaign in the governorates.”
In his speech during his meeting at the headquarters of the Investigation Department, Hanoun described the directors of the Commission’s investigation directorates and offices in Baghdad and the governorates, “The Commission’s work in the past year as a year of establishing achievements and laying the rules and foundations for future work, urging the Commission’s staff to continue the increasing pace of work and qualitative operations.”
He stressed "the importance of focusing on the level of performance and ensuring its continuous improvement in quantity and quality," stressing "the follow-up of the investigative, auditing and investigating staff and monitoring and evaluating their work, noting the achievements that were achieved by them in the past year, pledging to provide them with full support to enable them to accomplish their assigned tasks." ".
Hanoun pointed out “the necessity of finding clear and accurate job performance standards through which the performance of investigative and auditing staff can be evaluated, and through which those who work with a high level of performance are rewarded,” pointing out that “the amount of money preserved or returned to the state treasury and the positions of those who Being investigated or arrested is at the top of that list.”
He stated, “The Commission will begin opening the money inflation file and activating the campaign (Where did you get this from) in the governorates through the Commission’s investigation directorates and offices,” pointing to “the achievements achieved in this file since it was opened in April of last year.”
Hanoun concluded his speech by emphasizing the importance of coordination and cooperation between the Commission’s investigators and investigating judges, and the great outcomes that result from this cooperation, one of which is doubling the number of red-handed arrests and the number of defendants arrested,” urging “the follow-up of criminal cases starting from referring them to the judiciary until the appropriate ruling decisions are issued,” stressing “The importance of the judiciary’s supervision of the work of the Commission’s investigators, praising the presidency of the Supreme Judicial Council, which he described as keen to combat corruption and resolve cases without delay.”
