Representative Amir Al-Mamouri confirmed that he had submitted an objection to imposing new fees on construction in the country's governorates.
Al-Mamouri said in a press interview, “Article 28 of the Constitution includes important specifications regarding not imposing any taxes or fees except in accordance with a law, pointing out that the Ministerial Council recently issued a book based on a report by the Ministry of Construction on taxes, which imposed fines and fees on citizens ranging from 2-5 million dinars for the construction permit, and this matter is a great injustice to the citizens and represents exhaustion for them.”
He added, "Objections and appeals were submitted to the decision according to the legal procedures, pointing out that" fees greatly raising burdens of citizens and leads to major problems in terms of raising financial burdens. "The
Ministerial Council recently raised fees on building permits in amounts ranging from 2-5 million. Dinar."[/rtl]
