, Minister of Industry and leader of the Taqaddam Party, Khaled Battal, confirmed that the alliance with the Sadrist movement made us pay a heavy price after its withdrawal from the political process.
Battal said, in a televised interview followed by Mawazine News, “The Taqaddum Party does not want any political party to withdraw from political work, indicating that the withdrawal of the Sadrist movement created a gap within political work that no other party was able to fill.”
He added, "The Sadrist movement cannot be considered only a political bloc, but rather represents a social weight that not all political parties participating in the elections have. He pointed out that there are political parties that have social weight, but we only see this weight in the elections."
He pointed out that "the Sadrist movement's audience is considered a fixed, ideological, social, and political audience in addition to being a service audience, stressing that the absence of the Sadrist movement from the political scene does not please any Iraqi citizen, whether he is a fan of the movement or outside its audience."
