The media office of former Prime Minister Mustafa Al-Kadhimi confirmed today, Sunday, that slander and lies affected Al-Kadhimi’s personality, and exceeded the limits of the literature of political and media work, indicating that the legal team began prosecuting “those searching for stardom.”
A statement from the media office, received by Mawazine News, stated that it “affirms adherence to freedom of opinion and expression, in the firm belief that the presence of opposing opinions preserves the principles of democratic work, which is based on the plurality of opinions under the roof of the law and the constitution, in service of the public interest and the state in which we believe and work for.” He added
: “Over the past few days, we have become aware of the extent of the slander and lies that targeted Al-Kadhimi’s person and his approach, after the criticism exceeded the limits of the literature of political and media work.
