    Information / Baghdad..
Today, Monday, member of the Parliamentary Agriculture, Water and Marshlands Committee, Rafiq Al-Salhi, called on the government to exploit the economic card against the Turkish side to achieve the country’s interests.

Al-Salhi told Al-Maalouma Agency, “Turkey did not commit to releasing Iraq’s water quotas and did not respond to the Iraqi government’s negotiations, and calls to release water were of no use.”
They stressed the need to "use the economic file to put pressure on countries with water sources to increase Iraq's water share, noting that the drought crisis and water scarcity directly threaten the stability of the lives of the residents of southern Iraq and cause huge material losses."
He continued, "The economic card is the strongest, as the government can take it to put pressure on Turkey with the aim of releasing larger quantities of water to Iraq." Ended / 25 h
