Today, Thursday (June 27, 2024), the Independent High Electoral Commission decided to extend the registration period for candidates for the Kurdistan Parliament elections.
The Commission stated in a statement, received by “Baghdad Today”, that “in view of setting the date for the Iraqi Kurdistan Parliament elections on October 20, 2024, the head of the Electoral Administration, Judge Abbas Al-Fatlawi, directed the extension of the period for registering alliances, parties, individual candidates, and individual candidates for components wishing to participate in the elections for the Parliament of the Iraqi Kurdistan region.” 2024".
She added, "The extension will be until the end of official working hours on 7/4/2024."
