[size=45]The US Secret Service said on Sunday that President Donald Trump was shot from a high place outside the campaign rally area.[/size]
[size=45]The agency added: "One of the attendees was killed, two others were seriously injured, and we neutralized the shooter."[/size]
[size=45]CNN reported that the FBI has identified the shooter, adding that he is a 20-year-old man from Pennsylvania, Thomas Matthew Crooks.[/size]
[size=45]For its part, the House Oversight Committee has called on the director of the US Secret Service to testify on July 22 regarding the attempted assassination of Trump.[/size]
[size=45]A White House official said President Joe Biden spoke by phone with President Trump after the shooting.[/size]
[size=45]Biden also spoke with Pennsylvania Gov. Josh Shapiro and Butler Mayor Bob Dandoy.[/size]
[size=45]Trump had earlier left the hospital after being taken there with a gunshot wound to his right ear.[/size]
