The Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs announced, today, Tuesday, August 13, 2024, the mechanism for registering for optional insurance and the purpose of its adoption.
The Director of the Retirement and Social Security Department for Workers at the Ministry of Labor, Kholoud Hayran, told the official agency, which was followed by "Baghdad Today", that "the ministry has begun adopting optional insurance for companies, due to the lack of a sufficient database for workers in companies."
She explained that "activating the optional guarantee is the first step towards collecting a database of those registered through the electronic platform by entering the person's data and phone number, after which he receives the guarantee number and obtains approval."
Hiran added, "The staff is working on the IT line to activate the optional insurance and subscriptions with all employees."
