    [rtl]Baghdad - Iraq Today:

A source in the North Oil Company revealed that no shipment of crude oil has been exported to Jordan for several months from the fields of Kirkuk, Nineveh and Salah al-Din, while an economic expert confirmed that the agreement between Baghdad and Amman has not been renewed for three months.

The source informed, “The export of oil from the Kirkuk and Qayyarah fields, which is managed by the North Oil Company, has been halted for several months. As for exports to Jordan, the company is not concerned with the matter as it is related to the Ministry of Oil and not to the company’s ability to produce, as it can increase the rate to 15 thousand barrels per day.” .

He added, "The North Oil Company is an executive body that receives instructions from the Federal Ministry of Oil. If we are notified of resuming exports or increasing the quantity, the company is prepared for any increase."

In this context, the economic expert in Kirkuk, Ali Khalil, said, “The agreement between Iraq and Jordan has been suspended for about three months due to the non-renewal of the contract between the two parties, and today's announcement by the Jordanian Minister of Energy, Saleh Al-Kharabsheh, of reaching an agreement with Iraq to increase the quantities at a competitive price that is 16 dollars less than its price.” On the international oil exchange, it came against the backdrop of that.”

He stressed that "the North Oil Company has the ability to export 15 thousand barrels per day, and even has the ability to double this amount that the Jordanian side aspires to from Kirkuk oil and the Qayyarah oil field."

He continued, "Iraq exported during the month of April of this year, according to what was published by the Ministry of Oil, 100 million and 921 thousand and 250 barrels, where more than one million barrels were from the Qayyarah field, and 448 thousand and 606 barrels from Kirkuk."

Khalil pointed out, "In the first four months of this year, Iraq exported three million, 978,586 barrels from the Qayyarah field in Nineveh, and it also exported one million, 377,924 barrels from Kirkuk during the same period."

He stressed that "oil production from the Qayyarah field has recently increased to a capacity of 33,000 barrels per day, of which three thousand barrels will be refined in the Qayyarah refinery and 30,000 barrels for export. The Qayyarah oil reserve is estimated at about one billion barrels, and it is considered one of the large fields in Nineveh Governorate, along with other oil fields such as Ain." “A blemish, a star, a descriptive duck.”[/rtl]
