    The Parliamentary Integrity Committee called on the Ministry of Education, on Sunday, to reverse its decision to deduct money from employees to build schools and kindergartens, while threatening to resort to the judiciary.
    Committee member Hadi Al-Salami said in a press interview that "the Iraqi constitution does not allow deductions, taxes and fees except by law," noting that "the Ministry of Education's decision to deduct money from employees to build schools and kindergartens is wrong and violates the laws."
    Al-Salami added that the Integrity Commission has procedures regarding this file, which include contacting the Ministry of Education to cancel this decision, otherwise we will resort to the Iraqi judiciary.
    On July 29, 2024, the Ministry of Education decided to deduct financial amounts from its employees for the national campaign to build schools and kindergartens.
    At that time, it issued a book containing deductions amounting to 4,000 dinars, 6,000 dinars, and 10,000 dinars, according to categories divided according to the book below:
