Alsumaria News correspondent confirmed that "these Chinese citizens slept on the ground in the street leading to the Chinese embassy in central Baghdad, after the embassy closed its doors in front of them."

He added that they "appealed to their country's embassy to find a solution for them and return them to their country, and they also appealed to the relevant Iraqi authorities to intervene and solve their problem at the embassy."
