Iraq boosts oil exports by 618 million barrels in 6 months

Shafaq News/ The Iraqi Ministry of Oil announced, on Saturday, the volume of the country's oil exports during the first half of 2024, which exceeded 600 million barrels.
According to official statistics obtained by Shafaq News Agency, total oil exports amounted to 618 million, 44 thousand, and 445 barrels, with a monthly export average of 103 million, 7 thousand, and 407 barrels, and a daily estimate of 3 million, 433 thousand barrels, an increase of 3.77% compared to the first half of last year.
The ministry stated that crude oil exports from Basra port and the central regions amounted to 611 million, 952 thousand, and 117 barrels, while Qayyarah field exports recorded 3 million, 999 thousand, and 417 barrels, and 2 million, 133 thousand, and 111 barrels of crude oil were exported to Jordan via oil tankers.
Iraq exports about 65% of its crude oil to Asian markets, including India and China, through Gulf ports, while 20% is directed to Europe and 15% to America.
