Shafaq News/ The Iraqi Economic Council delegation arrived on Sunday at the official meeting hall in Erbil, the capital of the Kurdistan Region.
Shafaq News Agency correspondent said, "The federal delegation is headed by Foreign Minister Fuad Hussein, and includes Finance Minister Taif Sami and a number of ministers and officials in the federal government."
Our correspondent added, "The Prime Minister of the region, Masrour Barzani, received the delegation at the Saad Abdullah base for official occasions in Erbil, along with the Minister of Interior of the region, Rebar Ahmed."
According to Shafaq News Agency correspondent, the meeting between the two sides began immediately upon the delegation's arrival and is scheduled to last for 3 hours.
It is hoped that the Council will discuss during the meeting the financial and economic issues with the region, which revolve around several points, the most important of which are: constitutional rights, financial entitlements, and pending issues.
The visit of the Iraqi Economic Council aims to enhance cooperation between the federal government and the Kurdistan Regional Government in the economic and financial fields, resolve outstanding problems between the two sides in accordance with the constitution and applicable laws, and strengthen relations between Baghdad and Erbil in a way that serves the interests of the Iraqi people.
