The first hour of the Iraqi Stock Exchange witnessed the sale of more than 3.8 billion shares amid escalating regional tensions between Iran and Israel over the assassination of Ismail Haniyeh.
Foreign investors began to exit Iraqi companies by selling their shares, which led to a decline in the value of leading stocks such as the Bank of Baghdad, Al-Ahli Bank, Pepsi Baghdad, Asiacell, and others.
The first hour of trading on the Iraqi Stock Exchange witnessed the sale of 3.8 billion shares, 3.6 billion of which were from the Economic Bank, followed by the Fallujah Company with 39 million shares.
