Baghdad/Al-Masala: The Parliament Presidency issued a notice on Monday regarding the increase in the salaries of the members of the Council, while denying all news that talks about this matter.
The presidency said in a statement that it “affirms that there is no increase in the salaries of members of the House of Representatives and that salaries remain as they were before,” noting that “the House of Representatives always works transparently and within the specified legal frameworks.”
She added that "we categorically reject any accusations or questioning of the credibility of the Council or its commitment to official laws and decisions," stressing that "the House of Representatives reserves the right to take legal action against those who have harmed the reputation of the parliamentary institution and its members and misled public opinion."
The presidency called on “all media outlets to be accurate and objective in transmitting news and information in order to maintain their credibility before Iraqi citizens.”
