Al-Sudani: Combating corruption requires coordination between the three authorities

Prime Minister Mohammed Shia Al-Sudani stressed that the file of combating corruption in all state institutions requires continuous coordination and integration in work between the executive, legislative and judicial authorities, while indicating that the government is proceeding with plans for the growth of the oil and gas sectors and the development of their projects within the government program.
A statement issued by the Prime Minister's Media Office, received by "Al-Sabah", stated that "Al-Sudani met yesterday, Sunday, with the Chairman of the Integrity Committee in the House of Representatives, Ziad Tariq Al-Janabi, the Chairman of the Federal Financial Supervision Bureau, Ammar Subhi Khalaf, the Chairman of the Integrity Commission, Mohammed Ali Al-Lami, the Deputy Chairman of the Karkh Court of Appeal, specializing in examining integrity cases, Judge Diaa Jaafar, and the Deputy Chairman of the Rusafa Court of Appeal, specializing in integrity cases, Judge Ayad Mohsen Damd, in the presence of the Prime Minister's Advisor for Anti-Corruption Affairs, Mu'ayyad Al-Saadi.
According to the statement, the meeting discussed the steps taken in the field of combating financial and administrative corruption, and the level of progress witnessed in this file at the level of programs and procedures adopted by the government within its targets.
Al-Sudani stressed, according to the statement, that the file of combating corruption in all state institutions requires continuous coordination and integration in work between the executive, legislative and judicial authorities, noting that the outputs of the work of the oversight agencies are the inputs according to which the courts operate, which confirms the importance of integrating roles, efficient performance, achieving the principle of accountability and preventing the corrupt from escaping from Punishment.
The Prime Minister stated that the government has placed the anti-corruption file among its work priorities, and has realized early the seriousness of this file and its impact on other sectors. It continues to pay the required attention to it, develop mechanisms to reduce corruption, support oversight agencies and enable them to perform their role, to ensure the rule of law, and build trust with citizens.
In addition, in another meeting, Al-Sudani received yesterday, Sunday, the Minister of Oil, Hayan Abdul-Ghani Al-Sawad, in the presence of the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Oil for Distribution Affairs, and referred to the government's previous plans to develop the oil and gas sectors, and the development of their projects within the government program, through licensing rounds in which contracts were signed to invest in many oil and gas fields, in addition to investing in associated gas projects and oil derivatives production projects.
Regarding cooperation with the OPEC Plus group, the importance of partnership with oil-producing countries was emphasized; with the aim of maintaining the stability and balance of global oil markets, and Iraq's commitment to what was agreed upon within the framework of the group, including voluntary reductions and compensation for the increase in production, according to the updated schedule submitted by the Ministry of Oil to OPEC.
