Al-Awadi to Al-Sabah: The government has kept Iraq away from the circle of fire

The truth is clear and does not need any polishing or further clarification. Here the truth is that the policy pursued by the government amidst the current crisis in the Middle East has succeeded and achieved its goals and objectives, which is to keep Iraq out of the circle of fire, as described by the government spokesman, Bassem Al-Awadi, while standing with Lebanon and Gaza in their resistance against the Zionist occupation.
Al-Awadi told Al-Sabah: “Iraq stands in solidarity with the Islamic Republic against the Israeli aggression.”
He added, "Iraq warns the international community against the continued Israeli attacks on Arab and Islamic countries and stands in solidarity with them. It calls on the major countries to play their role and implement the principles they call for, such as criminalizing wars, bloodshed, and attacks on countries, protecting civilians, and working to stop the warlords in the entity from tampering with the future of the region and the world."
Yesterday morning, Saturday, the Zionist entity launched an attack on sites inside Iran. Although the Iranian air defenses confronted this aggression, this is considered a serious transgression and escalation. The official spokesman continued: "Iraq is still playing its role in working to stop the war and prevent the region from slipping into a comprehensive war, and is investing all its international relations in this path," stressing that "the continuous government efforts have kept Iraq away from being exposed to serious attacks and the enemy's attempts to drag it into the circle of fire."
Al-Awadi stressed that "the government will not abandon its responsibilities, and will continue its work with all regional and international powers to reach a quick end to the war." In Tehran, a high-ranking Iranian source told Al-Sabah that "the Zionist aggression, although weak, will not exempt Iran from responding to the aggression."
The source added that "the competent authorities in the Iranian General Staff are assessing the Zionist aggression while studying the options available for response."
He also denied that "the Israeli attack targeted (20) sites inside Iranian territory," stressing that "this information is false and misleading and falls within the framework of the psychological warfare practiced by the enemy."
