Prime Minister Mohammed Shia Al-Sudani stressed that the government has placed education at the top of its priorities.
The Prime Minister's Media Office stated in a statement that "Prime Minister Mohammed Shia al-Sudani received a group of outstanding middle school students, who have success stories, as well as outstanding students from poor families."
The statement added that "the Prime Minister congratulated the students and their families on this excellence," stressing that "Iraq is a country of creative and distinguished people who were able to overcome difficulties and left behind many success stories, and that he expects its distinguished sons to contribute to construction and achieve development; because they represent the country's important asset," noting that "there is an effort to achieve a renaissance in our country by improving and developing the education sector."
Al-Sudani explained that “the government has placed education at the top of its priorities, and this is embodied in a comprehensive plan to build schools in order to reduce overcrowding,” noting “the opening of Al-Farah schools for orphans, which will be available to the families of martyrs in particular and orphans, and will be generalized in all governorates, in addition to disbursing cash grants to students from needy families and working to secure all needs to ensure the success of the educational and pedagogical process.”
