    [size=45]The Ministry of Oil announced the signing of the contracts for the fifth and sixth supplementary licensing rounds in their final form.[/size]
    [size=45]The ministry said in a statement that "under the patronage and attendance of Deputy Prime Minister for Energy Affairs and Minister of Oil Hayan Abdul-Ghani Al-Sawad, the Ministry of Oil signed the final form of the contracts for the fifth and sixth supplementary licensing rounds with the winning companies."[/size]
    [size=45]The Minister of Oil said - according to the statement - that "the ministry spent today signing contracts to develop oil and gas fields and exploration blocks located in a number of governorates with the winning companies," noting that "the development operations will add production capacities estimated at (800-850) cubic meters of gas and (750) thousand barrels of crude oil."[/size]
    [size=45]He pointed out that "this comes within the government program and the directives of Prime Minister Mohammed Shia Al-Sudani to increase investment in the gas sector and achieve sustainable economic development."[/size]
    [size=45]He added, "The ministry has big and promising plans to develop exploratory blocks and discovered undeveloped fields in upcoming rounds to increase the country's oil and gas reserves."[/size]
    [size=45]He pointed out that "these promising projects will provide fuel for power plants, petrochemical industries and other industries, in addition to providing great job opportunities for Iraqi graduates, workers and craftsmen in different governorates through working with foreign companies or with the private sector."[/size]
    [size=45]The statement added that “the Director General of Basra Oil Company, Basem Abdul Karim, signed the contract to develop the Faw block with the Chinese company (UEG), and the contract to develop the “Jabal Sanam” block with the company (Geo-Jade), while the Director General of Maysan Oil Company, Hussein Kazim, signed the contract to develop the Dima field with the Iraqi company (KAR), and the person in charge of managing the North Oil Company, Amer Khalil Ahmed, signed the contract to develop the Allan and Sasan fields with the Iraqi company (KAR), and the Deputy Director General of Dhi Qar Oil Company, Saeed Sagheer Shalaka, signed the contract to develop the Sumer block and the Adan block with the Sinopec company, and the contract to develop the Abu Khaima field with the Chinese company (Zhenhue), while the Director General of the Central Oil Company, Muhammad Yassin Hassan, signed the contract to develop the East Baghdad field and the Middle Euphrates fields with the Chinese company (ZEPC), and the contract to develop the Al-Khulaisiya block with the Iraqi company (KAR), and the development of the Al-Qarnain block with the Chinese company (Zhenhue), and the contract to develop the Zurbatiya block with the Chinese company (Geo-Jade), and the contract to develop the field Al Dhafra with Anton Oil Company)”.[/size]
    [size=45]He pointed out that "the Ministry of Oil organized last May the fifth supplementary and sixth licensing round event in the presence of Prime Minister Mohammed Shia al-Sudani, during which 29 fields and exploration areas were presented for competition before international and local companies, 14 of which were referred to companies that were qualified to participate in the licensing round."[/size]
