Planning carried out a survey determines the level of poverty in the middle of this year

He explained that the survey date yet to be determined but will be implemented in the first half of this year, stressing that it would be before the holy month of Ramadan. The Ministry of Planning revealed last August 2015 for the high poverty indicators in Iraq to 22.5 percent in 2014. The Minister of Planning, Salman al-Jumaili, at the time, that «the results of the analysis, which was launched and based on macroeconomic indicators and estimates of population projections and the results of the social survey and economic family concluded that the poverty rate dropped to what it was in 2007, (22.5 percent) after it had been expected to drop from 19 percent in 2012 to 15 percent ».
