Planning carried out a survey determines the level of poverty in the middle of this year
2/22/2016 0:00 [rtl] BAGHDAD - Mostafa Hashemi The Ministry of Planning and Development Cooperation announced its intention to carry out a large-scale survey in the first half of this year for the purpose of assessing the reality of life, poverty and prosperity in Iraq in cooperation with the Bank Foundation Ata.oadav ministry spokesman Abdul Zahra al-Hindawi said in a statement »Sabah» that this survey will be made by Angels Central Bureau of Statistics of the Ministry, using modern mechanisms used for the first time in Iraq, noting that the survey aims to look closely at the reality of living and the level of well-being as well as to identify the indicators of poverty in light of the circumstances that Iraq faces today, namely a decline in oil prices and the economic crisis. The Central Bureau of Statistics carried out various surveys that cover all aspects of development both in Owalsnaaah agricultural fields Oualbeiah Owalchied and construction as well as surveys related by women, education, health and social issues, and within the reports are issued, including detailed results of these surveys and studies and then sent to all government agencies to feed them in the development of plans and programs. Hindawi pointed out that the survey will address the security reality after the decline in the level of poverty, stressing that the survey would give a clear reading of the reality of life for the Iraqi family and also will determine the poverty index in Iraq using fast mechanisms. He explained that the survey date yet to be determined but will be implemented in the first half of this year, stressing that it would be before the holy month of Ramadan. The Ministry of Planning revealed last August 2015 for the high poverty indicators in Iraq to 22.5 percent in 2014. The Minister of Planning, Salman al-Jumaili, at the time, that «the results of the analysis, which was launched and based on macroeconomic indicators and estimates of population projections and the results of the social survey and economic family concluded that the poverty rate dropped to what it was in 2007, (22.5 percent) after it had been expected to drop from 19 percent in 2012 to 15 percent ».
