    BAGHDAD - Iraq Press - April 9 / April: USA announced that it has provided more than $ 778 million for Iraq humanitarian aid since the start of the fiscal year of 2014, as urged all States to contribute effectively to respond to the appeals of the United Nations to provide humanitarian aid in Iraq .


    The US embassy in Iraq said in a statement, "announced US Secretary of State John Kerry thatthe United States is providing approximately 155 million US dollars in humanitarian aid additional tothe displaced and affected Iraqis by the conflict within Iraq and the region as a whole and who are in desperate need of support , " indicating that " this latter amount raises the ceiling of the total humanitarian aid by the United States to Iraq in response to the humanitarian situation to more than 778 million US dollars since the start of the fiscal year of 2014. "


    The statement said, "Since January of 2014, displaced more than 3.4 million Iraqis from the total number of the total population of 33 million people, the United Nations estimates that ten million people all over the country are in dire need of humanitarian assistance , and among them an estimated three million who living in territory controlled by Daash and that more than a million Iraqi children of school age , or 20% across the country to Aatlqon education. "


    The statement noted that "humanitarian assistance and the US provided by the Population, Refugees Office and theImmigration Department of State and across the High Commissioner for Refugees Office of the United Nations (UNHCR) andthe Fund for the kids support of the Organization for Child Welfare (UNICEF) the UN and other implementing partners, will help secure the urgent needs of millions of individuals in need, through the High Commissioner for Refugees Office of theUnited Nations and a number of international organizations, this contribution will help provide shelter and protection and theneeds of relief and basic assistance in the management and coordination of the camps will also help in water and sanitation ,health care, food and vital needs insurance non - food. Besides providing assistance to Iraqis affected by the conflict in Iraq, the UN High Commissioner for Refugees ( UNHCR ) Office of the United Nations with the help of Iraqi refugees living in Jordan, Lebanon, Turkey and Syria. "


    The statement added, that this amount would also bolster " the goal of the Child Welfare Organization (UNICEF) the UN to increase the establishment of places safe education and quality education psychosocial sustainable for more children and support needs will also help in achieving the goals of the Children of supplying 550,000 of the displaced children substances care organization education and help 22,330 thousand displaced children access to education, as well as the training of 5,000 teachers. "


    The statement said that "through other partners, this contribution will support the expansion of child protection efforts in each of the provinces of Baghdad, Diyala, Dohuk and Erbil, Karbala, Kirkuk, Najaf and Babil, who is estimated to total about more than 40 000 beneficiaries, and will include an expansion monitor additional protection focuses on the needs of The issues ofchild protection and the establishment of three child - friendly spaces provide psychological and social activities and monitorthe protection referrals and case management and capacity building. "


    The statement said that "through the Office of Food for Peace of the Office of the United States Agency for International Development, the United Stovralolayat assistance will enable the World Food Programme (WFP) to buy food from the local and regional market and offer vouchers assistance to displaced people inside Iraq, and will allow this contribution to theprogram of food global to provide family food rations for one million beneficiaries for a period of two and a half and vouchers food rations to approximately 370 thousand beneficiaries for a period of one month. This contribution also provides for theWorld Food Programme , the amount of 589 metric tons of emergency food rations for up to 140 thousand beneficiaries for three months. These are provided emergency food rations to the displaced newly During the first three days of their displacement, as well as those families that link through rapid response in areas that are difficult to access mechanism from Iraq. "


    The statement noted that "it is through the Foreign Disaster Assistance Office of the Office of the United States Agency for International Development, the United States will support programs in all parts of Iraq to provide health, protection and relief needs for the displaced as well as coordination regarding humanitarian assistance. By working with the United Nations andinternational partners, Stofarhzh contribute Instant vital supplies for families during their displacement from conflict zones and maternity services and neonatal care for displaced people inside and outside the camps and services to assist victims of gender -based violence sex and spending on coordination of humanitarian assistance to provide better and efficient programs of thehighest. "
