    Iraq announced that it will put the development of the gas industry and export it to the top of the priorities of energy projects, which is working on completion soon, while announced the near completion of the project to supply gas with Kuwait, the signing of the agreement with Iraqi oil pipeline will be within the next two weeks.
    This came at a time when Iraqi Oil Minister Jabbar al-Luaibi said on Sunday that Iraq's natural gas production will triple to 1700 million cubic feet per day by 2018 as OPEC member states implement projects to curb gas burning.

    He added that Iraq's production of liquefied natural gas rose from three to six thousand tons per day, while the rate of export of liquefied natural gas per thousand tons per day, while Iraq also exports 15 thousand barrels per day of condensate.
    Al-Allaibi expressed his expectation that the production will continue to develop during the next year to reach the rate of gas invested to 1.7 billion cubic feet per day and the production of liquefied natural gas seven thousand tons per day.
    He also predicted that Iraq's exports of liquefied natural gas to 1500 tons per day with the high rate of export condensates to 20 thousand barrels per day.
    Last year, Iraq started exporting gas liquids from Basrah Gas Company, a joint venture between South Gas, Shell and Mitsubishi.
    Al-Allaibi said in a press statement on December 28 that conditions are encouraging for the completion of the gas supply project in Kuwait under the "great response of the parties and the conformity in common visions."
    The company collects the gas associated with the oil production from fields in southern Iraq and treated it to become fuel for power stations, liquids and cooking gas.
    In January, the South Gas Company said it expected Iraq to triple its LPG exports and double its gas condenser exports by three times in 2017, thanks to the larger collection of southern oil fields.
    Liquefied natural gas (LNG) exports are expected to rise to 100,000 tons this year from 30,000 tons in 2016. Gas condensate exports will rise to 400,000 cubic meters this year from 200,000 cubic meters
    An official source said that the signing of the Iraqi oil pipeline agreement with the Kingdom of Jordan will be within the next two weeks.
