    The Canadian government has made an additional contribution of US $ 2.2 million to finance the immediate stabilization fund, which is implemented by UNDP and funded by fast-yielding projects in the liberated areas of terrorist gangs Daesh.
    Lise Grande, Resident Representative of the United Nations Development Program in Iraq, in a press statement today that "Canada's contribution to the total so far increased to US $ 6.3 million".
    She continued, "Based on the priorities identified by the Government of Iraq and local authorities, will help finance the immediate stabilization fund to make quick reforms in public infrastructure, and provides grants for small businesses, and enhance the capacities of local authorities, and encourages civic participation and community reconciliation, and provides temporary employment opportunities through the works programs the public".
    She added, "we hasten to help achieve stability in eastern Mosul and the liberated areas in the province of Nineveh, as is currently being implemented more than 200 projects of projects with high priority, and we expect further efforts soon. If we add western Mosul, we must expand the scope of our work dramatically . there is already extensive damage. Canada's contribution comes at the right time".
    For her part, Crystal Brosishn based, said the work of the Canadian Embassy in Iraq, "Canada is proud to support the important work of the funding for the immediate stabilization fund to restore basic services in order to help Iraqi children, women and men to return to their homes in the newly liberated areas as soon as possible".
