As Vice World Bank for the Middle East and North Africa president Hafez Ghanem, during the meeting with the Iraqi delegation, headed by Finance Minister Abdul Razzaq al-Issa in the spring meetings in Washington, he said that the World Bank is committed to Iraq to provide the financial requirements imposed by the reconstruction in the liberated areas of operations, according to the Iraqi Ministry of Finance website.

It is noteworthy that both the World Bank and the IMF, are carrying out a review of the program to improve the performance of the Iraqi economy, allowing Baghdad to obtain billions of dollars in loans from financial institutions and donor countries to address the liquidity crisis resulting from lower oil prices and the requirements of Daesh war.
