The committee member buxom Ali Hassoun , in a press statement that " the unification of the prices of medicines in pharmacies project will be applied in time by placing" stiker "special determines the price of drugs , " noting that "the Ministry of Health in collaboration with the Union of Pharmacists has cut off the biggest break in this regard . " .
She explained Hassoun, said that " the project will eliminate the cases of high prices is unjustified as well as the great disparity in prices between the place of another pharmacy and other", noting that " the unification of the price of medicine was applied in most pharmacies during the eighties, but because of the events that have passed the country and weak law enforcement there has become a big random negatively affect the citizens who suffer from high drug prices. "
The Committee stressed the economy in the province of Baghdad on Saturday (January 7, 2017), that the pharmacies and markets are generally found no control to prevent price manipulation, as explained that the trader raises prices as it pleases to the realization that forced consumers to buy, and pointed out that the laws regulate the sale process exists but without applying.
The medicine prices have seen a significant increase under the pretext of rising dollar, while the citizens pointed out that the pharmacies raise prices dramatically when the dollar rise slightly and keep prices high when the dollar drops.
