Completion of the first reading of the amnesty law and postponement of consideration of the law of freedom of opinion and demonstration
BAGHDAD, July 24 (KUNA) - The House of Representatives held its 8th session of the first legislative term for the fourth and final legislative year, under the chairmanship of Salim al-Jubouri to discuss a number of laws on its agenda.
"The Parliament voted on the draft law on the ratification of the documents of the Bucharest Conference for the year 2004. Attached to the Universal Postal Convention, and ended the first reading of the proposed amendment to the First Law of Amnesty No. 27 of 2016," pointing to "the postponement of the vote on the draft law on freedom of expression and demonstration Peaceful at the request of the specialized committee to write the final paragraphs. "
She added that "the meeting includes a vote on the draft federal budget amended general law for the fiscal year 2017, and consider the appeals filed on the validity of the membership of some gentlemen,
"The session also includes the first reading of the proposed law to commemorate the sacrifices of the martyrs of the war against gangs, urging the terrorists and accelerate the completion of their transactions and care of their wounds and the first reading of the draft law on the rights of Turkmen and discuss the draft law of accession of the Republic of Iraq to the Convention on international safeguards on mobile equipment and its protocol on Issues relating to aircraft equipment and declarations supplementing its accession to the Republic of Iraq and a general theme for discussion on the return of displaced persons to their areas.
