The market manager of the market, Taha Ahmed Abdul Salam said that the Iraqi market for securities organized during the week ending on the seventeenth of August five trading sessions in the regular market and five trading sessions in the second market, the number of companies listed in the market (101) (29) listed companies in the second market, where it traded during the sessions last week shares (30) companies in the systemic market and (5) companies in the second market.
"The number of shares listed in the market amounted to (10.824) trillion shares, while the number of shares traded last week (35) billion shares compared to (59) billion shares for the week before, down by 40.9%, while the value of shares traded last week (34) ) Billion dinars compared to (58) billion dinars for the week before, down by 41%.
The ISX 60 Index closed at (575.84) points, down by (0.9%) from the close of the previous week when it closed at (581.11), adding that the number of transactions executed reached last week reached ( 1008) deal against (1410) deal for the week before.
The number of shares purchased by non-Iraqi investors last week reached (376) million shares, worth (310) million dinars through the implementation of (103) shares on the shares of (10) Companies, while the number of shares sold by non-Iraqi investors last week (270) million shares valued at (130) million dinars through the implementation of one deal on the shares of one company.
He pointed out that the number of companies suspended from trading due to lack of commitment to provide the annual and quarterly disclosure of the Authority and the market became (28) companies after the decision of the Securities Commission to stop trading on companies that did not submit the annual financial statements for 2016 and companies are (Middle East Bank, Al-Kindi for the production of vaccines and veterinary medicines, Al-Karkh Tourism City, Iraqi Land Transport, Iraqi for the transportation of petroleum products and goods).
He added that the suspension of the following companies (the bank of the Tigris and Euphrates, Dar es Salaam, Bank of the economy, the good financial investment, the light of financial transfer, light industries, modern dye industries, Badia public transport) Provide the disclosure by the Chairman of the Board of the overall status of the company to be returned to circulation (modern construction materials, furniture industry, Fallujah for the production of construction materials, Mosul for the cities of games and tourism investments, Khazer for the production of construction materials).
