    [ltr]The Cabinet voted on Tuesday to the proposal of the Minister of Health and Environment, Adila Hamoud, to allocate 250 million dinars per month to 9 specialized centers in Iraq.[/ltr]
    [ltr]"After the efforts of the Minister of Health and Environment Adel Hamoud Hussein, the Cabinet decided today to allocate 250 million dinars per month to (9) specialized centers in Iraq after the proposal," said Health Ministry spokesman Saif Al-Bader. Presented by the Minister to the Council of Ministers with the support of these specialized centers. "[/ltr]
    [ltr]Al-Bader added that "the specialized centers that have been allocated include Najaf Center for Oncology, Najaf Center for Cardiology, Nasiriya Heart Center, Ibn Al-Bitar Heart Center, Al-Ameen Kadhimin Medical City, Maysan Oncology Center, Ibn Al-Haytham Eye Hospital, Spinal cord, Amal Hospital for tumors). "[/ltr]
    [ltr]On 14 October 2017, Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi directed the Ministry of Health to provide the requirements of the Children's Hospital for Cancer Diseases from the budget of the Ministry.[/ltr]
    [ltr]The Ministry of Health, on Saturday (October 11, 2017), attributed the main reason for the scarcity of medicines to cancer patients to the lack of financial allocations, pointing out that the annual budget allocated for the purchase of medicines, medical supplies and devices decreased by 60% from the years preceding it.[/ltr]
