The deputy head of the parliamentary bloc of change Amin Bakr, on Tuesday, the draft federal budget for the fiscal year 2018 unfair, warning warned Iraqi Prime Minister Haider Abadi of the "great chaos and serious consequences" if not amended.
Bakr said in a statement to the twilight news that "the draft budget of 2018, which voted by the Council of Ministers was a shock to us, because it was not fair," explaining that "the proportion of the province in the budget, which was set at 12.67 instead of the previous proportion agreed since the previous budgets, 17%, is not true, because the change is supposed to be after the census, which did not happen. "
"There are significant financial commitments for the region, including the existence of one million and a half displaced from other provinces, in addition to salaries due retroactively to the staff of the region, and therefore this percentage will not be enough to pay the salaries and dues of the region for half a year and not for a year."
Bakr warned Iraqi Prime Minister Haider Abadi, "a large and dangerous chaos is not disappointing and create problems that we do not want to add to the current problems in the event of not modify the budget in a way that allows containment of crises and justice of the people of Kurdistan."
It is noteworthy that the Kurdistan Regional Government has prepared the draft law of Iraq's fiscal budget for 2018 that it aims to marginalize the constitutional entity of the territory.
