[ltr]The United Nations Security Council on Thursday imposed a ban on four North Korean cargo ships and prevented them from berthing at any port in the world.[/ltr]
[ltr]"The four vessels suspected of transporting or transporting goods covered by international sanctions on Pyongyang," diplomatic sources told AFP, and were seen by Mawazin News, noting that "the four ships are (the first Ji Bong 6) and Rong R 2, (Sam Jong-2) and (Ray Sung Gang 1), "he said.[/ltr]
[ltr]The sources pointed out that "the resolution was issued at the request of the United States, in the framework of a list submitted and includes 10 vessels of different nationalities," noting that "China has agreed only to target the four North Korean ships."[/ltr]
[ltr]"Only four ships have been approved, but the door is still open to other ships," one diplomat said.[/ltr]
[ltr]It is noteworthy that the list submitted by the United States during the month of December to the Committee to follow up the international sanctions imposed on North Korea, along with the four vessels mentioned, six other ships.[/ltr]
