    The parliamentary legal committee confirmed that the political corruption and the sectarian and political quotas, the failure of the work of the Constitutional Review Committee.

    "Thirty-three deputies were nominated for membership of the constitutional amendment committee, which was unable to hold an initial meeting because of political corruption and quotas," said Maj. Faeq al-Sheikh Ali, a member of the committee.

    The MP, Faiq Sheikh Ali, one of the deputies signatories to the request to activate this committee, to: "The intentions were focused on reviewing all the provisions of the Constitution and the amendment because of the multiple observations made by the deputies of the current session," noting: "There are 68 articles of the Constitution need To amendments. "


    The Speaker of the House of Representatives Salim al-Jubouri, has called the parliamentary blocs, since July 2016, to submit candidates to form a committee to amend the Constitution, and gave it a maximum of one week to submit names and vote on them.
